It is not difficult to find a car deal on the Internet these days. But many of them are not as good as they first appear. It's the total package that you have to look at, not only the appealing number flashing on the home page. As it says in the classics, "" The devil is in the detail ".
Take not the first "major search" "offer, which you have. There are a number of questions, you must answer before you sign up, and some more, before the delivery of the car.
Before you apply for everything you need to ask:
* Check offline: Yes, rental businesses are still businesses over the phone. You may have a termination, or too many cars in one place, and offer a special treatment to move that more than camps, as required for the carriage of the car to another depot.
* Local taxes / fees / cost: Many of the local authorities and airports, car rental companies charge for access, use of facilities, etc. Make sure these are in your listing.
* Frequent Flyer points awarded: Many car rental companies now a surcharge to offset the cost for issuing frequent-flyer points. Make sure these are in your listing.
* Insurance: The cost of insurance waivers can be very different. Car rental broker commission, these add-ons, double the current rate. Find out if your own car insurance covers you for rental cars are. Some major credit cards, if the cost of rent for their card. Find out what you already in advance.
Before the delivery of the rental car:
* Check the car thoroughly condition. Some unscrupulous companies will try to blame the existing scratches and dents on the first "victim" to be found. If you have a digital camera or camcorder, then a few "happy snaps" of an already existing damage to the car. Then you have photographic evidence of the exact condition of the car when you first time.
* Check the terms of your car rental deal. Make sure you have unlimited mileage, if you plan on a long journey. Some deals have a mileage allowance, after which you pay a high dollar amount for the additional miles.
* Check the conditions, to see what time you have to return the car, and if you need to make the gas tank full or nearly empty. You do not want them with a full tank, only to later find out you do not have to.
Before you return the rental car:
* If your car is dirty, clean it. If you're not the car owners an additional cleaning on your credit card.
If these proposals then your car rental experience should go smoothly, and have no surprises at the end.
