Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, has acquired the Thrifty Car Rental in New Mexico.

The acquisition, which includes a spot at the airport Albuquerque International Airport and local market stores in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, adds 500 vehicles to the Tulsa company's corporate fleet. The Thrifty New Mexico franchise was from Southwest Car & Truck Rental is owned by Christine and Steve Reid.

This acquisition provides the company with a company in New Mexico, said Jay Foley, Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate Operations.
