As experienced travelers, it seems not surprising, as some members of the public react when they hear that their flight is delayed. Understandably so, most people are disappointed when the obligations they may have, if they are at their destination, must now be changed. However, they often forget about the reality of the situation.
If the flight is a mechanical delay means that the plane is better than on the ground in the air. It also means that they are as long as they need to repair it or to another level. What is the old saying better late than never? If the plane is delayed, if for any other goal, to yell and scream do not come any faster. Remember, you are not the only inconvenience to why ruin all the time during the delay by a tyrant.
It is usually a logical reason for the majority of flight delays and even if it is not, there's not much you can about them, except for a letter of complaint and hope for some kind of compensation.
In the meantime, here are some tips on how to communicate effectively with flight delays.
1. Phone the airline or the Internet before your departure to confirm flight times.
2. If you end at the airport on time and then announce a flight delay, depending on how long the delay will be, you may be eligible for food stamps. Always ask if the airline supplies vouchers, not all airlines do.
3. Keep your phone handy and pay for the case, you need to call.
4. Keep snacks in your carry. Gum, mints, grains, snack bars, or whatever your pleasure. Delays can not only expensive but life-time reasonable and wise.
5. Do you have your MP3 player / iPod to virtually drown some of the usual airport noise. Do not try to make it too loud as you want, yet in a position to hear the airport announcements.
6. It never hurts, a magazine or a book handy to keep your mind from the stress of the delay.
7. Travel light with the lead. Nothing is worse than you is a heavy bag. Remember to bring it by your side at all times. Pickpocketing love delays because people tired and forgetful, the longer they are at the airport.
8. A travel toothbrush, comb / brush, mini toothpaste, Kleenex, and always useful when you sit for hours. Perhaps you would like to freshen up or use the Kleenex as toilet paper.
9. A pen and paper is also helpful if you need to include all the important flight information.
10. If possible, phone your car rental or hotel and let them know that you are delayed but will arrive so that they do not qualify for a no-show and give your car or hotel room
away. This is not a problem if your delay on the flight back home.
11. If you urgently need to get to your destination, please contact other airlines at the airport to see if they are earlier than flights from your new scheduled departure time. You have to pay for the seat, but it could lead to a reduced rate and get where you need within a reasonable time.
