Surprising results of a recent survey show that consumers could pay two or three times more to rent a car than any other travelers renting a vehicle in the same city on the same day, AAA of Northern California announced today.

AAA of Northern California surveyed the nation eight rental car companies, by using the toll-free numbers and requesting reservations for 10 major destinations. AAA has some useful tips to consider before you make the road in a car this summer:
- Book with a travel agent - travel agents are often better than landlord you can on your own.
