A vacation in Disney World brings the child in us all. Disney World in Florida is one of the most popular tourist destinations of the family. We all know that travel is too stressful. Add a baby or toddler, that the travel and stress level may be off the scale. But it must not be that way.
I have traveled extensively with my children, and visited Disney World many times, and there are certainly ways to make it easier to experience. The planning starts before you go. First, you can easily pack if you plan. Remember that it is not the end of the world if you forget something. There are many shops in Disney World! If this mind set then you will notice that it no longer seems like a good idea to pack a big suitcase just for your baby. Pack a few days supply of diapers, wipes and special foods that you in your suitcase, and one day delivery in your hand luggage. Remember, always wash clothes, diapers and food, can be bought if you do. If you live in a vacation home in Florida is very simple - you have a washing machine and dryer, and is in close proximity to shops, or perhaps even any other business on the spot to deal with deliveries.
If you fly with a child under the age of 2 years, you can decide whether to purchase a seat for them or not. If you do not buy them a seat, you have to travel with them on your lap. It is tempting to save money and not a seat reservation. My primary concern is of course the safety of your child. They are very happy that you have a seat for your child if you have a turbulent flight or bumpy landing. If you have a seat for your baby, you can use your FAA approved car seat belt and to include them in the plane square.
You should save your car seat on board with you, even if you do not have a seat for your child. It may be that there empty seats at the level that you can use and also if you have your seat with it, then it will not be damaged or lost luggage. When an airline lost one of my car seats and I was with the setting is one for the week I decided that never again would I trust my seat of the luggage lottery!
Always take your own stroller. Yes, you can rent in the Disney World parks, but it does of course, at your expense, and not any use at the airport! If you have a little baby I'm always the baby in a sling, and the stroller to the car seat. This also makes it easier when you are through the airport security. You have to fold your pram and put it through the X-ray machine and it is easier if your baby in the sling. You will then have your child out of the loop and follow the instructions of the TSA screener to walk through the metal detector.
Many airlines allow you to pre-board with small children. Ask the check-in staff, if this is not clear, society and politics before you can board anyway. This is especially important when traveling with airlines that do not assign seats - you really do not want to fight your way to your seat with a baby, your car seat and your hand luggage.
On board Do not forget your favorite child, quiet toys. Pack lots of small items in an easily accessible pocket. Do not expect your baby or toddler to the in-flight magazine entertaining when they chewed it a few minutes.
You must remember that many airlines do not offer any type of meal service. All the snacks offered, they are probably not suitable for your baby or toddler. So always have a supply of snacks. Remember that your flight be delayed, so more and more with you than you think you need!
Upon your arrival, you are likely to rent a car. It is much easier to choose a location at the airport. You really do not want to travel on a shuttle bus with your baby, your luggage and your car seat. There are many on-site car rentals in Orlando International to choose from. Make sure there are enough places in the vehicles you choose to secure the car seat. Always take sufficient time to make sure the car seat. An advantage of your car seat with you, that you save a lot of money - Yes, you can rent a car seat of the car, but you pay a lot for the privilege. If you rent for a week you can buy a car seat for the cost of rent!
If you have a place to stay, whether for baby-and child-friendly features. Many hotels now have children welcome pack, free use of cribs, and children can eat free at the restaurant. Another option is to stay in a vacation home in Florida at home. This option provides a home away from home with all the facilities you need. Some apartments are mainly for children with free use of travel cot and high chair.
Traveling with a baby or small child to Disney World can be a great experience with the planning.
